A Poet took his gilded pen
And wrote a line or two,
Then read aloud his magic words
To mould the world anew.

A Painter heard the Poet’s words,
Then took his golden brush,
To paint the world alive again,
Down to the river’s rush.

Never before had our world seen
More beauty, true and fair,
The Painter brought the words to life
That breathed into the air.

Together they helped the earth to bloom,
And changed the land once plain,
Speaker of love, Artist of life,
Masters of their domain.

“If one knows how to speak of beauty, another knows how to create it.” – Katie Lynn
