Falling Down a Tunnel

I’m falling down a tunnel
it’s slippery like a slide
it’s way too dark in here
there’s no light from outside.

There’s no way to get out
there’s no way to get back
the walls are wet and cold
I’m frightened of the black.

There’s no way to get out
there’s no way to get up.
I’m going down too fast
I don’t know how to stop.

I don’t know where I’m heading
nor what waits at the end
I’m lonely in the dark
without a single friend.

It’s eerily silent
there’s not a single sound
the tunnel keeps on going
with nothing else around.

I’m not ready for this trip
there are many things left to do
I’m not gonna let it take me
I will come back to you.

I’m not gonna give up
I’m gonna win this fight
climb out of this tunnel
and get back to the light.
