Youth Envy by Esteban Luis Soto

Plump and fluorescent skin
And eyes with bottomless wells of life
Scan this world without regret

Supple hearts that swell
With charcoal-filtered love
Strike strong against virgin chests

Ernest ears that hear only
Poetry and peace, perk to
The direction of their mother’s whisper

Generation Backwards by Harry J. Casseus

I’m scared for my generation.
We lack prudence, & bend on
Imitation.

Sour we are, we no longer water the roots to our fruitful aspirations.
How are we all stuck in this condiment of indignation.

I’m scared for my generation.
When walking down my own street I catch a bullet for my pigmentation.
And we scream black lives matter creating a tumultuous pattern
Like we’re not the ones doing the eliminating.

Women sleeping with men to fill spaces that have long been vacant.
Men sleeping with women whom they find better naked.
The redundancy order
Of a tireless occupation
We desire a quick fix
More than the desire to make it.

The Old Roadway by MacabreeLewis

Something is menacing in every bemuse;
as something unspecified grows into my cranium.
flare of old remembrance transpire me into a nerve-racking feeling.
The boundary in my intellect has become slain;

The road I stride has become deceased;
as all subsistence commodity thing’s are lamented.
The only thing that exhalation is only the extinct zephyr.

Awaiting the Muse by Puja Bhakoo

Like a Metaphor, a Poem brushes my Lips
A Surge of Emotions waxes… Then stops
Before I clutch the ephemera, it slips
Bursting Dew in a million Drops

Fighting the Wild Thicket of Thoughts
Imploring the Jumbled Clouds to Clear
I Seek Inspiration to dawn its Brilliance
The elusive Muse to Shed its Fear

Crouching behind a Facade of Whimsy
It’s There, I Know… Just a trifle Shy
Its Delicate Heavings tug my Heart
Flirting the Corner of my Eye

My Being Thirsts Coherence
Those Minty Floods of Creative Flush

Widow’s Lullaby by Diana Campbell

When you first loved me,
life was so sweet.
When we got married,
my life was complete.
When we had children,
I loved you so.
My life was so perfect,
why did you go?

Waiting in the Rain by Pewton Light

The thought of you brings tears to my eyes.
I still remember waiting in the rain.
We knew each other for so long,
Yet you and I were never meant to be.
I looked out for you, and watched over you,
And above all else, I cared.

Even though I didn’t tell you enough times, I always cared.
Perhaps you always saw it in my eyes.
Now I’ve blown my chance, and I’ll never get to tell you,
But you were worth waiting on in the rain.

Because all I ever wanted to be,

Our Everlasting Love by ‘MandaBear’

Those piercing eyes looking at me with a greater intent.
Lustily calling out my name with silence.
Your body covered in beads of sweat just waiting to fall.
Calling out just wanting to be touched.

As the water dripped from your muscles the heat became more intense.
Passions were burning like the pits of fire on a cold winters night.
Glances were exchanged with a quick fluttering of the eyes.

My Dream – Poem by ‘UnspokenPain’

Planes falling from the sky.
darkness all around me.
everyone’s eyes are filled with fear.
fear, fear is all I see.

I hide in a corner and wait for it to pass.
but the darkness, just will not leave.

Lying with the Angels by Tina Cox

The peaceful sound of humming
A touch so soft and pure
She doesn’t feel the pain
She’s lying on the floor

At last she’s got away from him
She knew one day she would
She would have done it sooner
if she only could
