On Loving a Boy by E. J. Schoenborn

One of the things I regret the most
is going back to my place at three A.M. after Pride Fest
lying on the mattress next to him,
this boy who said he felt comfortable around me,
his voice, a string of lights lining the bed,
and this is when I remembered I loved him,
my body a finger on a hairpin trigger,
worried something would go off if he even touched me,
but we both passed out,
And I was finally able to sleep for an entire night,
this boy, the night light in my bedroom,
a tense, tight calm.

The Storm Inside by Brea Viragh

A storm outside
Darkening the sky
Stealing the light
Shaking the soul and body
With rambunctious bolts of searing energy.
Let the rain come
And let the thunder roar.

Let the wind take my breath
So that I may no longer speak your name.

Obsessed by Jim Miller

Obsessed.
Dangerously so.
With yesterday’s eyes
and tomorrow’s heart.
Anxious to end the end,
though it’s just the start.

Hell Bound by Dixie

I was Eurydice and you were my Orpheus,
But you never cared to look over your shoulder.
You fastened your pace and I failed to follow,
Left in a land even darker and colder.

“Goodbye” – Sad Love Poem by Randeep Singh

The anxiety sucks the life out of me,
Like a thousand leeches on my soul,
Awaiting to be told who to be,
And how to be accordingly,My tears well so abundantly,
I cannot see
Yet never falls one drop from my eyes,
They are the bravest and most stubborn part of me,

My life’s blood
My protector
My air
My life’s lovebeaten from your hallowed translucent shield
The pain from this will fade
Yet the bruises will remain forever and a day

Silence by Sinimatik

My name hums upon your lips
Like a loose string
Out of tune
Out of place
Not welcomed in your vocalized melody
A mistake

My own ears whisper truth
But my eyes deceive me
To watch you
Plucking the chord
So desperately
So desperate
For it to belong

A Lonely Sigh by Tina Cox

A lonely sigh up to the moon
A broken heart an empty room
A heaving breast that goes untouched
A velvet thigh no lovers blush
No lips to part
No gentle kiss

The One that Got Away by Dixie

Falling for her was like summer rain,
First drizzle, then hurricane;
With thunders, with lightning, heavy and fast,
Meant to dishevel, but never to last.

Being with her was an autumn fire,
Vibrant and quiet, a bright red desire.
For she was fresh coffee brewed in the morning,
And you were vodka down her throat burning.

You Are With Me by David B. Pincus

Alone I walk the sheltered paths far from home and you are with me.
While leaves scatter the sun’s rays into thousands of pinpoints of light
Alone I trod this quiet sanctuary of blissful solitude and you are with me
Hearing the calling birds, watching the fluttering leaves I hear and see you.
Alone I behold the beauty that surrounds me as I stare in wonder at it all.
Though you are far away in all that I see, hear and feel, you are with me.
