Never fit in by Druppels

You seemed never to fit in
You’ve searched your soul
looking for a reason within
but there was nothing you could do
because the problem was never you
You were simply not on the same page
could not connect with children of your own age Read More

My Brother by Walker Andreasen

A coffin draped with a flag of stripes,
a flag of stars and a flag of strife.
The man encased there in pine
he was my equal, a brother of mine.

We met one night on a bus
because to training, it was for us.
We had both signed papers with words that said,
“I will protect my country, even ’till death.”

Through the shouts and the screams,
that persisted all day it seems,
my brother would smile and say,
“To me, it’s just another day.

I’m used to hollers and screams,
to being told nothing is what my life means.”
I would look at this man with a frown;
a brother from another town.

Then the day we became men.
Our families and honeys, greeted us then.
“My little boy is now a Soldier.”
wept my mother on my shoulder.

Under the sky

Tumultuous roar
And we shall be lost in one in one.

Breathe in the sweet jaunt of their sound;
A moment is a lifetime,

Plant Witch’s Love Song by Kathryn Keane

My mouth trails down your jaw, leaving heather
to grow in with your beard.
Stroking your hair, I smile,
as my orchids bloom, together
with daisies budding at your lips
as my kisses hit quick as raindrops first,
then slow to grow deeper than roots.
Slowly, slowly, though your hips
start shifting, irrepressible as
spring bursting from the ground,

The Paper Man by Dixie

He fell from the tip of my pen,
He fell from the edge of my rhymes,
He fell out of my poems,
He slipped from between the lines.

His lips were made of paper,
Unkissable and cold,
But his hands were a sonnet
So beautifully told.

“Goodbye” – Sad Love Poem by Randeep Singh

The anxiety sucks the life out of me,
Like a thousand leeches on my soul,
Awaiting to be told who to be,
And how to be accordingly,My tears well so abundantly,
I cannot see
Yet never falls one drop from my eyes,
They are the bravest and most stubborn part of me,

Dreamland Fantasy by Fran Marie

I saunter through a dreamland fantasy
in steamy waters of ecstacy
my heartbeat quickens
my pulse races

In an amber moon your face I see
A sudden rush of pleasure enchants me
as a soft night breeze gently flows
palm trees sway
a free spirit plays

In a midnight dream you call to me
